 Important Financial Aid Information:

1. 2010-2011 Bishop’s Tuition Assistance and Star applications are now available in the school office.  Application Deadline is March 31, 2010. Please follow all instructions carefully! The forms are to be mailed to the Diocese, NOT returned to the school.

2. Monsignor Connelly Education Endowment Tuition Assistance Application (MCEEF) are available in the school office. This is for parish families needing some additional assistance with their children’s tuition at Blessed Sacrament School (Gr. K-8).The Deadline is Friday, April 23, 2010.

3. Scholarship Fund; Applications for the J.T.E.F. (John P. Tramontano Jr. Education Fund) Scholarship Fund is available in the school office, the deadline is May 1^st. In order to qualify for the $1,000.00 scholarship you must be on free and reduced lunch.

School Liturgy will be held Friday, March 5^th at 8:45 am. All family and friends are welcome to attend.

 Wednesday, March 10^th is our next early dismissal day (1:30 pm) and Casual Day.  Please remind your son or daughter that they must follow the rules for casual day attire.  These rules can be found in the Blessed Sacrament Parent Handbook.   Monies collected from the $.50 per student donation will be donated to a charity.

Reminders;

*If your child is absent, you must call the school office between 7:30-8:15am to report your child’s absence. You may request homework be sent to the office or home with a sibling when your child is absent. Please request homework before 9:00am. Homework will not be guaranteed if requested after that time. Homework will not be sent to the office without a request. Homework is not available for pickup until after 2:30pm. *We also understand that plans do change throughout the day, however, it is our request that your child understand before they leave for school in the morning if they are a car rider, bus rider, or a walker at dismissal time. It is very disruptive to the classroom teacher to give a student a message during the day. Parents who call to change their child’s dismissal plan are asked to call prior to 2pm.

Blessed Sacraments Lenten Fish Dinner: Featuring: baked scrod, fries or macaroni & cheese, green beans, cole slaw, roll & butter, sherbet and beverage. Cheese Ravioli & Macaroni & Cheese Dinners are available on Friday, March 5^th and March 19^th, from 4:30-7:00 pm in the Blessed Sacrament Cafeteria.  Adults: $8.00-fish dinner or cheese ravioli dinner; $5.00-macaroni & cheese dinner. Children under 12: $5.00-fish dinner or cheese ravioli dinner; $3.00 macaroni & cheese dinner. Take-Outs are Available.

Parking Lot Problems:  Our traffic pattern has always remained the same. PLEASE enter off 26^th street and exit on Haybarger Rd. We have blocked off 6-8 parking spaces by the door students exit from in the afternoon. Parents & Students are to wait inside the coned area: parking spaces & sidewalk. Parents please follow these guidelines AND do not yell at teachers when they are monitoring the parking lot. Thank you for your cooperation!

Attention All BeSTCo. Parents:  Just a reminder that there is an organizational meeting for the NYC trip on Tuesday, March 9^th at 6:30 pm in the music room.  All students MUST attend with ONE parent, and all chaperones should plan on attending.  Room and chaperone assignments will be handed out that night.  Thank you.

 There is no school for students on Monday, March 15^th.  Enjoy this long weekend!

  School Store will be open during the 2009-2010 school year on Tuesday mornings 7:55-8:15 am and Thursday afternoons 2:50-3:15 pm.
