SUPPLY LIST 2009-2010
ALL SUPPLIES SHOULD BE LABELED WITH A PERMANENT MARKER
All students in Grades 2-8 are required to have an assignment pad purchased through Blessed Sacrament School. The cost is $3.00 on P.I.N. Night or $4.00 after P.I.N. Night. This money will be collected during the first week of school.
KINDERGARTEN: Book bag or backpack, 1 bottle of Elmer’s white school glue, 4 glue sticks, 1 box of crayons (no more than 24), 1 box of primary color Crayola classic color markers (washable, medium tip), 1 package of #2 yellow pencils – sharpened, 1 large eraser or box of pencil top erasers, 1 package of 4 Expo Dry Erase Markers (medium point), 2 single subject spiral notebook, 1 pocket folder, 2 box of tissues, 1 package of napkins, 1 package of 100 (8 or 9 oz) plastic cups, a roll of paper towels, one bottle of hand sanitizer.
GRADE ONE: Book bag or backpack, 6 sharpened #2 yellow pencils, 1 box of crayons (no more than 24), 1 box of Crayola classic color markers (washable), pencil case, hard case or zippered bank bag that can hold crayons, markers, pencils,etc., 2 sturdy pocket folders, 2 single subject notebooks (wide ruled), scissors, 1 bottle of Elmer’s white school glue, 4 glue sticks, pink eraser (not the pencil top kind), 4 dry erase markers, 1 washcloth that can be used as an eraser for our dry erase boards, 1 ruler (12 inch with inches and centimeters), 2 boxes of tissues, addition and subtraction flash cards (facts up to 20), 2 highlighters, 1 12oz. bottle of hand sanitizer (will be used in the computer lab), 1 container of disinfecting wipes. Please check computer, music and gym supplies also. First graders do not need gym clothes.
SECOND GRADE: 1 ten pack of #2 sharpened pencils, erasers, pencil top and large pink eraser, large zippered pencil case, 24 pack of crayons, scissors, glue sticks (4), bottle of glue, classic markers, 2 highlighter, cm/in ruler, 3 1 subject wide ruled notebooks, 7 bottom pocket folders, 1 standard sized clipboard, 2 boxes of kleenex, 2 dry erase markers, addition and subtraction flash cards, 1 roll of paper towels, 2 containers of disinfecting wipes, washcloth, paint shirt for art, 1 gallon and 1 quart ziploc baggies.
THIRD GRADE: pencils, erasers, soft pencil case, 24 pack of crayons, one pack of markers (no more than 12 in a pack), wooden ruler cm/metric, medium size Elmer’s glue (white), scissors, one five subject wide ruled notebook, three pocket folders, backpack, two boxes of kleenex, blue erasable pens will be needed in January, wide ruled loose leaf, one single subject wide ruled notebook for journal writing, one highlighter, 1 container of disinfecting wipes, dry erase markers, No pencil sharpeners, No binders, No mechanical pencils.
FOURTH GRADE: 1 zippered pencil case, six folders with pockets (Do Not Label), loose leaf paper (standard ruled No college ruled), 9 one subject notebooks (Do Not Label), 5 blue pens (erasable only), 4 sharpened pencils (No mechanical), 1 gray/pink bar eraser for pen and pencil, 1 box of 24 crayons, colored pencil set, white or clear Elmer’s glue, 1 wooden ruler (standard and metric), thin marker set, 1 highlighter, scissors (metal, sharp point – Crayola or Fiskars), 2 boxes of Kleenex, 1 hard cover journal book, 1 ultra fine point black sharpie, 1 protractor, 1 simple calculator (for standardized tests), 1 hand sanitizer, 2 shoe boxes (one in the fall, one in the spring), No: gel pens, glitter glue, pencil sharpeners, loose-leaf binders or trappers.
GRADE FIVE: book bag, 1 composition book (usually black and white), zippered pencil case equipped with 2 #2 pencils, 2 blue or black ball point pens (no click pens), ruler, loose leaf paper (no college ruled), 1 two pocket folder, 1 accordian folder, 7 spiral notebooks (no college ruled – do not buy 3 or 5 subject notebooks, do not buy notebooks with colored paper), 3 x 5 index cards, scissors, bottle of white glue (no glue sticks), 24 or less box of crayons, 1 black extra-fine sharpie, a pack of 8 markers, colored pencils, hand sanitizer, 2 boxes of tissues, No ring binders, no trapper keepers.
GRADE SIX: book bag, gym bag (just large enough for the gym uniform, sneakers and deodorant), zippered bank bag to use as a pencil case (no boxes), pens, #2 pencils, eraser (bar and pencil top), 1 ruler cm/in., 3 packs of loose leaf paper (No college ruled), 1 small bottle of Elmer’s glue, 1 6” child size scissors, 1 box of 24 Crayola crayons (no more than 24), 1 box of 8 Crayola classic thin markers, 1 black extra fine sharpie, 1 highlighter, hand pencil sharpener (with a section for collecting the shavings), 1 box of 12 Crayola 3.3 colored pencils, 1 accordian folder, 5 single subject notebooks, 1 box of family sized tissues, $7.00 for a Bible. Put money in an envelope clearly marked with your child’s name on it – no checks will be accepted.
GRADE SEVEN AND GRADE EIGHT: General Supplies: blue or black pens, red pens, loose leaf paper, 1 box of Kleenex, 1 multi-subject accordian file folder, highlighters, Eighth grade only -$10 graduation fee, Religion:
1 one subject notebook, 1 New American Bible to be purchased at school (7th grade only; 8th graders will use the Bible they purchased in 7th grade), English: 1 3 subject notebook; Literature: 1 one subject notebook; Math: 1 3 subject notebook binder with dividers and extra looseleaf, 10 pencils, eraser, 1 Scientific Calculator; Art: 2 Elmer’s school glue sticks, bottle of Elmer’s school glue, colored pencils, scissors, 1 ½ inch ruler standard/metric, thin markers, 1 ultra fine tip black sharpie, 7th grade only: 1 box of 24 Crayola crayons; Science: 1 1” flexible 3 ring binder with dividers and 1 3 subject notebook; Social Studies: 1 1” flexible 3 ring binder with dividers and with looseleaf, 1 ultra fine black sharpie. No trapper keepers, all students are required to have looseleaf.
COMPUTER: All students: one set of headphones (may be purchased at dollar store). Grades 4-8: one 2 pocket folder.
MUSIC: Grades 1-5: one two pocket folder, Grades 5-8: loose leaf paper Grades 6-7-8: General Music: 1 subject notebook, Chorus: 1 two pocket folder
GYM: Grades 2-8: a Blessed Sacrament School gym uniform (BSS gold gym shirt, above the ankle white socks and black shorts), only athletic type gym shoes are accepted. Grades K-1 are required to wear gym shoes, not the gym uniform.
